Things to do in DC with kids: How to make a car from cardboard

Hi there,


How you doing? It seems we already changing month and going to May. May that Month that is so full of historical dates in our contemporary history. Here at Makersgeneration we started the year making nice events as well and keep going this way.


The proof of that is our next STEM event for kids here in the DC area. If you are looking for things to do in DC with your kids, come join us to participate at the following event:


  • How to make a car from a cardboard


Yep. A pretty hands-on project. If your kids like to tinker and have their hands-on, making stuff at home, this event is made for you.



STEM program for the kids - Make a car from cardboard scrap

In this Show and tell mixed with practice, we'll see how to create a car from cardboard scrap. All the materials will be provided. it will be a good time to cut, create your own design for your car. And the least for the end. make a race with others with the car. Why not go through a bunch of cups to have fun. ;-)



Date and place of the event


If your children are 5 years old and older and have a strong curiosity for STEM activities and learn how to code from scratch . Come join us for 40 minutes from 4 pm to 5 pm on:


  • Saturday, May 6th 2023.


Meet us the the Shepherd Park library if you are looking things to do in DC with kids:

  • 7420 Georgia Ave. NW, Washington, D.C. 20012


It will be in the "Meeting room number 2".
